System not booting?

Some common error messages include "Bootmgr is missing" or "Windows is attempting repairs"

A common scenario: You wake up one morning or you reboot your machine and it stops working!  What do you do? Why all of a sudden your computer isn't working? Multiple Possibilities:

 

  • Your operating system's registry is completely corrupt causing your system 32 file (boot file) not to work
  • Your Hal file is missing or corrupt and needs to be re-installed
  • (If it is a laptop) your hard drive could be on it's last leg depending on how you handle your computer
  • Your boot manager is corrupted because you tried to create a partition which is dynamic as opposed to system
  • You installed a severe piece of Malware or "Malicious Ware" which corrupted your registry
  • You could of turned it off improperly many times
