The case is huge

Putting together a computer properly isn't an easy task.

It basically goes in steps:

  • Putting in the "stand off" screws first. They each must align with the motherboard perfectly for it to sit perfectly
  • Two, screwing in the motherboard
  • Three, putting in the power supply
  • Four, connecting the 20 - 24 pin power supply to the motherboard and the 12 Volt AC cord
  • Five, place in the CPU Chip directly facing the pins in the CPU slot
  • Six, place the heatsink directly on top of the CPU Chipset and lock it in tightly - Plug in the Heat-Sink cable on the motherboard
  • Seven, place the hard drive in the hard drive slot
  • Eight, slide in the CD-Rom in the CD-Rom Slot
  • Nine, unscrew a place for any PCI or PCI Express cards that you may have and tightly put them in
  • Ten, use the SATA connectors for the the Hard Drive and the CD-Rom, plugging them into the motherboard - and make sure to plug in the power supply unit cables in the Hard Drive and CD-Rom
  • Eleven, if the case has any internal fans make sure that the "Molex Cables" are plugged in tightly to the cases fan plugs
  • Twelve, On the motherboard you will see plug in's for the front reset switch, HDD Lights, and Power Switch. Make sure Negative goes to negative and positive goes to positive. Also, make sure that the Com port is plugged in and the Front USB Ports are plugged in
  • Thirteen, Turn the computer on, place a Operating system in the disk tray - press either F11 or F12 and boot from the CD-Rom and install it. Your computer's motherboard should have come with driver a driver disk and make sure to install every driver correctly.
